Most messages fall into three buckets, and all three are genuinely useful to us. The first is questions: if something in a guide was unclear, confusing, or left you wanting more detail, tell us — the gap you noticed is probably one other readers share, and it often becomes the seed of a better explanation. The second is corrections: energy is a fast-moving field, figures get revised, and even careful writing can slip. The third is suggestions: topics you wish we covered, or angles we missed. We would rather hear a blunt criticism than a polite silence.

How to make a correction land quickly

If you are flagging a factual error, the single most helpful thing you can add is a link to the primary source you are relying on — an agency dataset, an official report, or a peer-reviewed study. That lets us verify the claim against the same evidence you are seeing and update the guide with confidence rather than guesswork. Specifics beat generalities: the page, the sentence, and the number in question help us find and fix things fast.
